My name is Joe Watkins, I have been programming in one way or another since my early teens and I'm now 24 years old.

I have experience in many languages in many platforms, my favourite language has to be PHP on any platform. One of my on going projects is a "compiler" for php, to turn php into windows executables, the fruits of my labour are available for download here.

I work well as part of a team, I love hearing other programmers ideas and solutions to problems, and pride myself on producing top quality code and solutions myself.

My normal working day starts at 8am, I use the daytime to quote new clients and do fixes for past work. The evening time is normally reserved for new projects and I work most nights past midnight. This is do 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. I do not, or rather will not work on Sundays, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays as I have a family and this is often the only time we get to spend together.

I prefer to work on large projects, on my own or in a team. However, no one gets what they want and I do indeed take almost anything I'm offered, time permitting. I do not keep a portfolio of work online, the reason for this is I work on several sites a week, doing odd jobs and updating poorly written code ( see I told you, no one gets what they want ), if I were to keep a portfolio, no human being would have the time to read it. When you get in touch, I will gladly provide you with a list of the most recent work I carried out ( without violating any contracts I have with clients to not disclose work undertaken ).
